Steve Rhodes was born in Austria where he spent his childhood and studied mechanical engineering-management before moving to London. While at university, he won a nationwide search for best music-newcomer and subsequently got signed to Columbia records as a singer & composer. Various TV, radio and other media appearances followed. Steve later built his own recording studio and established himself as a music producer. He also had his own film studio and produced music videos incorporating early 3D computer animation. I found this book to have some excellent recipes within. However, if you are looking for a major primer on oils or extensive information, this is NOT the book for you. This book is designed to be for someone newer to essential oils who does not want to create their own recipes or someone who has "been around the block" but wants something simple to help them learn more and try different things with a reduced risk of error.Other reviewers have complained about the choices of oils and the expense. I found her list to be fairly accurate but VERY different from her starter kit for the free online course she offers through Aromahead Institute.My recommendations to other readers: (and potential readers!)1: Read the ENTIRE BOOK and decide which formulas you wish to try. THEN purchase your oils accordingly. This will save the expense of oils you do not like, do not want to use, or do not plan on using. Start small and pick 2-3 recipes instead of the whole kit n' caboodle.2: She recommends MANY times in the book to research your oils. This book is not intended to be for that research. Know that ahead of time and be ready to invest in a good book on essential oils and other herbal remedies. Until you are able to make that investment, there are many locations online, including Aromahead Institute and reputable online companies that sell essential oils, absolutes, and hydrasols which can help you.3: This is NOT meant to be the end of your journey in essential oils. Be ready to keep studying and learning. This is the start of the path, not the final destination.4: Last but not least, please learn proper safety protocols and USE them. For your safety and the safety of those you love.

I think this is a very good book but too little information for the price. I’m aware of Andrea Butje’s well respected and well earned reputation in the aromatherapy community. I just received this book and am disappointed with how thin it is. I know it has quality information in it, I’m just very disappointed that it does not have much more quality information and recipes. If I had seen this on a bookshelf in a bookstore, I would not have purchased it.

I just got this book and read mostly through it in one evening. It's not a thick book obviously, but it is packed with great recipes using essential oils for the home and your health. The author lists a "starter kit" list of essential oils if you're unsure of what you need and all the recipes have a descriptor of what they can be used for or any cautions of use. She also includes a list of where to buy essential oils and bottling products (this may seem silly because you can search online but amazingly the 3 websites she listed for oils don't automatically come up on the Google searches I've done and I think the quality of these products are probably better than some of the other sites that Google DID provide on the first search page). There aren't a lot of details in this book about how essential oils are extracted or too much about safety other than a few general mentions here and there but it is exactly as described on the book description - a recipe book! I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a way to eliminate some chemical cleaners in your home, discover new lotion and beauty recipes, or for some simple diffusion recipes to help with cold and flu season or everyday living.

I bought the ebook for my collection of aromatherapy authors. Andrea Butje does an awesome job of creating an easy to read and easy to understand book on how to use essential oils in your home, office, traveling, and outside use. I find it an amazingly great resource and one that I use often. The author provides purchasing tips, blending techniques, and dilution standards. I love the abundance of recipes and the advise that one should start to blend beyond these recipes because it is all about the knowledge learned, application, and safety in the use of each essential oil. Branching out to discover and connect with new oils is what I have been doing. Love the book and it should be on everyone's bookshelf. Thanks to Andrea I am enjoying converting my home and daily living around the substitution of commercial cleaners to those nature developed for us.

I guess I was expecting something more than what this book is. It's okay, the recipes are okay, but you can find recipes like that on the web for free. I don't know, I thought there would be at least a description or background info about the EO's used, but sadly no. I guess the book is what it says, a recipe book and I can't be mad at that.

This is a great beginner book with lots of nice easy instructions. It was thinner book than I thought, but Andre Butje writes a well balanced easy to understand book on essential oils. I will use this often!

I don't want to be pressed with marketing for specific brands and their blends but instead want to know how individual oils work singly or in blends. This book does just that. Not only does the book cover necessary tools but basic oils to start with and a suggested list of what to acquire over time. There are several recipes in the book and they are designated as to the appropriate level of expertise needed to blend them. It's a quick read but still an excellent resource that I keep coming back to review.

This book is fantastic. Tons of great recipes authored by a truly evidence-based aromatherapist. Let this book be a gateway into the massive body of work Andrea Butje has bestowed upon the aromatherapy world. I am a student in several of her online aromatherapy training programs. She provides a sane and beautifully effective path for the science minded individual through the often misunderstood and underestimated world of aromatherapy. I have invested a lot in her training and haven't regretted a minute of it.

"I really enjoyed this programming book. I found it to be excellent in its explanations, diagrams and programming methodology. Since I retired from mainframe programming several years ago, I have purchased and read many beginning PC programming books including 5 books published by Philip Conrod and found these books extremely well written. In my opinion, Philip Conrod’s books on Microsoft Small Basic and Microsoft Visual Basic have been the best in format, content and the larger size pages for easy reading. They are excellent! To me programming is more than learning a language as it is also about thinking logically and solving problems. I have enjoyed these books so much!”

What is "Programming Games with Small Basic" and how it works.These lessons are a highly organized and well-indexed set of lessons in the Microsoft Small Basic programming environment. Small Basic is a simplified version of the many BASIC (Basic All-Purpose Symbolic Instruction Code) programming languages of the past. This book is an average read of spliced documents that the consultant may have access to through his work with his clients over the years. The author lacks in clearly articulating the thought process, instead stuffs the book with a lot of legalese. This book has been read once and perhaps will sit on my shelf for a long time without returning to it again for any kind of reference. Moreover, there are entire paragraphs repeated in the book in different sections without any good reason for repetition. Overall, this is a below average book on fund formation.

This book stepped through and clearly demystified a lot of questions I had about the setup and formation operations of a hedge fund. This is stuff that you can't just find on the internet laid out as clearly and well thought out as Frank Nagy has done. Great resource.

This is the most poorly written book that I have read in years. Every page is filled with misspellings, grammatical errors and just plain bad writing. The advice is limited to the nuts and bolts of setting up a hedge fund. These are things that your lawyer will tell you about in your first meeting. Seriously, if you haven't already figured out the stuff that's in this book, you are nowhere near ready to start a hedge fund.

A highly recommend read for anyone seeking to launch a hedge fund. The book does a good job of taking an in-depth subject and breaks down the matter into an easy to comprehend read. Regardless if a given fund being formed will be macro, event driven, long/short etc. managers want to focus on trading—not getting buried with intricate "legal speak" on formation structures. I think the book does a good job of balance with regards to enough information but not overwhelming a reader with unnecessary legal jargon with regards to the various offshore/onshore legal structures.

I am only on page 15 and the typos, grammatical errors, and missing function words have become distracting enough to put the book down.

This book provides very little content of any value. You’d be better off finding a draft set of subscription documents and perusing through them. Never the less, the latter half of the book is full of definitions an elementary finance student could recite. Certainly not worth $30. I’d advise saving yourself the money.

This book was very informative. It tells you exactly what need to done in order to start your own hedge fund. I like the fact that it is written in very basic terms.

A great help for me. Frank takes a very complicated topic and breaks it down into a simple format. For $10, you have a comprehensive resource at your fingertips.

His career was mainly in higher education, with most of his spare time spent as a peace, ecology and social justice activist, as well as a period on the Samaritans’ telephone helpline. He was a founder of the UK Network of Engaged Buddhists, eventually serving as its president, and a member of the International Advisory Committee of the Buddhist Peace Fellowship Jones facilitated numerous workshops and retreats on different aspects of Buddhism, but focusing particularly on “Everyday Buddhism”. He published widely, his best known book being The New Social Face of Buddhism. A widely published haiku poet, he has been awarded the Sasakawa prize for his contribution in that field. He final years were spent in his native Wales, with his Irish wife Noragh. He passed away in 2015.
