Stanley I. Sandler is the H. B. du Pont Professor of Chemical Engineering, Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering University of Delaware.  He is also the founding director of its Center for Molecular and Engineering Thermodynamics. He is the author of approximately 400 refereed papers, mostly on thermodynamics and several on education. He is the sole author of the popular textbook “Chemical and Engineering Thermodynamics” (first three editions) and now “Chemical, Biochemical and Engineering Thermodynamics” (4th edition), as well as the author or editor of 7 other books. He is the former editor of the AIChE Journal, a member of the U.S. National Academy of Engineering, and a fellow of the AIChE and the IChemE. In addition, he has received the Professional Progress, Warren K. Lewis, and Founders Awards from the AIChE and a number of international awards.

From the Author
I was leafing through old, public domain Christian stories back in 2013, and when I came across Eliza Lee Follen's Honest Bird, I knew it was a story I wanted to do something with and get back in front of people.

After playing around with the character sketches for a while I finally came up with something I liked, and the book came together pretty quickly.

It's always good when we can read something together as a family, enjoy the pictures, and come away with a great message. I hope parents and their kids will enjoy reading this as much as I had enjoyed drawing it.

Illustrator and Author Joe Ketterer is a seasoned veteran of the comic book industry. He's worked in the shadows for DC Comics since late 2001, as well as for several smaller and foreign publishers. He's also a graduate of the Kubert School of Cartooning.
Since early 2014, he's been creating a wide array of graphic novels and children's books with his wife, under their publishing company, Manic Repressive.
